The National Population Commission NPC commenced the NPC E-recruitment of Adhoc staff and Functionaries for the 2023 Census slated for April next year.
The Commission in a circular released on 25th of this month with the “Title Online Recruitment of Adhoc Staff Through NPC Portal for The 2023 Population and Housing Census (PHC)” disclosed that the NPC Recruitment for Census 2023 portal will be launched on Monday 31st September 2022.
The Commission noted that the NPC Recruitment Portal will be used to recruit personnel within and outside the
Commission for the various roles required for the Census activities.
This means that that all interested categories of applicants (internal and external), without exceptions, must register on the NPC e-Recruitment
portal to be eligible for engagement and deployment as a field functionary in ihe 2023 PHC.
Positions for NPC Census Recruitment 2022
The categories of field staff needed to conduct the National Census in 2023 include:
- Enumerators
- Supervisors
- Facilitators
- Training Center Administrators
- Data Quality Managers
- Data Quality Assistants
- Monitoring and Evaluation Officers
The number of Functionaries to be recruited in each category will depend on the number of available Vacancies in each state, which depends largely from the total number of Enumeration Areas (EAs) in the States.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Census Recruitment applicants must be a Nigerian with National Identity Management NIN Number.
Required Qualifications
Generally, all the positions listed above require some one who is conversant with the use of Android Devices. Ability to use the Computer will be an added advantage.
Specific requirements for each position will be published as soon as the NPC application portal is open.

How to Apply
The application form for the NPC Census Recruitment is available online at the recruitment portal.
Interested applicants are to start their application by verifying there NIN on the portal. This is to ensure that only Nigerians participates in the field work.
Recruitment Selection Process
To ensure an efficient recruitment selection process, a Local Government Area Recruitment Team (LRRT) comprising of 3 persons will screen the applicant from there LGA before approval.
The Approved applicants are further screened by the State Recruitment Review Team (SRRT).
