The Sydani Expanded Midwives Service Scheme (eMSS) Recruitment for Medical Doctors, Nurses/Midwives and Community Health Extension Workers is now open for application from registered serving, non serving/retired medical practitioners in Nigeria.
Sydani eMSS Recruitment for Medical Doctors, Nurses/Midwives and Community Health Extension Workers aims at attracting Skilled Birth Attendants (SBAS) and Medical Doctors to contribute to optimizing RMNCH+N service delivery in Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), through the expanded Midwives Service Scheme (eMSS).
The eMSS program is targeted at improving maternal, newborn, and child health indices in Nigeria. The Scheme has vacant job positions for the following categories of health workers.
- Medical Doctors
- Midwives,
- Nurses,
- Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS)
Requirements for Eligibility
To be eligible for any of the positions, the applicant must be a Registered Medical Doctor, Midwives, Nurse/Midwives, Nurses or Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS)
A. Requirements for Medical Doctors:
- An MBBS degree from a recognized institution A valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
- A minimum of 2 years experience post horsemanship
- An excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work in a team
B. Requirements for Nurse/Midwife:
- A valid license to practice
- A minimum of 1-year experience post NYSC
- An excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work in a team
Kindly note that retired Nurses, Midwives and/or nurse midwives (between 60-65 years old) are encouraged to apply.
B. Requirements for Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW):
- Be a certified Community Health Extension Worker.
- Have a valid license to practice
- Have a minimum of one (1) year experience in providing reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health plus nutrition (RMNCH+N) services
- Have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the conduct of community health outreaches
- Possessing proof of having undergone modified Life Saving Skills (mLSS) will be an added advantage

- Enter your email address and verify your email via a link that will be sent to your email.
- Shortly after verification, you will receive a notification email with a link to take the Computer-Based Test
- You will have a grace period of 10-days to complete the Computer-Based Test
