The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has released the results of the May/June 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE for school candidates.
This was disclosed to Newsmen on Monday by the Head of Nigeria Office, WAEC, Mr. Patrick Areghan at WAEC office, Yaba, Lagos.
Mr. Areghan said, “The results are being uploaded on the WAEC results website. Candidates who sat for the examination and who have fulfilled their financial obligations to the Council can access their results on the Council’s results checker website from today.
He also added that Copies of the Result Listing will be sent to schools shortly. “I need not restate the fact that the results of candidates who are sponsored by states indebted to the Council will not be released now until they pay up. We appeal to them to do so to enable the affected schools/candidates access their results.”
The Council has also withheld the results of 365,564 candidates in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice. This also includes the results of candidates who were sponsored by States indebted to the Council.
The analysis of the statistics of the performance of candidates in the examination shows that out of the 1,601,047 candidates that sat for the examination, 1,409,529 candidates, representing 88.04%, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/ or Mathematics).
While, 1,222,505 candidates, representing 76.36%, obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
This means that the Secondary School Candidates that participated in the just concluded West African Examinations Council (WAEC) May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) can now check their results online.

- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number. (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789).
- Select examination year i.e 2022,
- Select the Type of Examination i.e “SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT”
- Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
- Finally, click on the “Submit” button to get your 2022 WAEC Result.
