The National Industrial Court sitting in Abuja has affirmed the appointment of Professor Joseph Okore as the Provost of the Federal Government College of Veterinary and Medical Laboratory, Jos and is to remain in office until 2023.
While ruling on the application for injunction, the Judge Justice Bashar Alkali held that the Minister of Agriculture Dr. Abubakar and the Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria Professor Garba Sharubutu have no power to remove the provost from office where he has not finished his tenure.
Justice Alkali also ordered that Professor Okore be allowed in office while the parties continue with the pursuit of their suit.
