LSETF – UNDP Vocational Training Program 2022 for Young Nigerians

Applications are open for the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) UNDP Vocational Training program 2022 targeted at young Nigerian students, graduates and out-of-school citizens to learn skills for employability and self reliance.

The Training Centres and Skill Acquisition Centres have been put in place to empower the citizens of Lagos in different vocational areas or fields.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) was established by The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law 2016 to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for job, wealth creation and to develop their career.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund has partnered with relevant professional bodies,  NGOs and International Organizations to bridge the Skills Gap to Maximise Industry Potentials in Lagos State.

LSETF believe that the only true job security is a superior skill set and industry relevant skills in trades that cut across key sectors of the economy.

The LSETF will operate the UNDP Vocational Training Program with an initial capital of N25Billion contributed over four years by the Lagos State Government, but will also raise additional funding from various sources including donor partners, development agencies, corporate organizations and individuals.

LSETF will focus on promoting entrepreneurship by improving access to finance, strengthening the institutional capacity of MSMEs and formulating policies designed to improve the business environment in Lagos State.

In addition, the Fund will also develop programmes designed to train and place unemployed Lagos residents in jobs; while also focusing on programmes designed to drive innovation within the Lagos ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligibility for the LSETF UNDP Vocational Training Program, applicants are must meet the following conditions:

  1. Applicants must be resident in Lagos state, Nigeria.
  2. Applicants must be between 18 – 45 years of age

  1. Applicants must have National Identity Number (NIN)
  2. Applicants must have LASSRA number
  3. Passport photograph
  4. Guarantor’s details
